FAQs

  • Classes at EBA are centered around a fun and supportive class culture each every week. Strong classical ballet technique is infused with positivity and professionalism to ensure that each and every student has the best ballet class experience possible. Every teacher and staff member wants to see students thrive as dancers and people. We’re supportive of each student’s journey whether they take class for a semester or a decade! Seeing each and every student reach new potential in their art expression of choice, discover their inner creative voice, & guiding them to achieve new goals is our focus and joy.

  • The benefits of participating in classical ballet class are numerous! Students develop physical strength, better posture, and flexibility while fostering the graceful movement vocabulary that is ballet. Weekly class can also instill new levels of confidence in students as they gain satisfaction in mastering movement, receive positive instructor and peer feedback, grow physically stronger, and connect with their unique inner creativity as a dancer.

  • Two different tap class options are being offered for the upcoming fall session!

For preschool students ages 4-5, the ballet and tap combination class on Tuesdays offers some additional fun, featuring both dance styles combined into one class. Giving the chance for our younger students to enjoy double the activity and creativity all in one class!

Additionally on Tuesdays, our Tap Open Level class is an enrichment class option for students already enrolled in the ballet program. Creating a well-rounded dancer is a goal across all our class levels, and offering tap dancing as an auxiliary class option is one way we’re training students towards that goal!

Classical music will still be utilized for this class, the same standard across all classes, and classical-based technique taught as the foundation during weekly instruction.

Tap dancing class is beneficial with developing musicality, coordination, and creative expression, all of which are dance education factors that seamlessly enhance a student’s ballet training.

Lastly, taking a tap class is also just a lot of fun, and is a great reason alone to join in!

  • Ballet, and the performing arts as a whole, are creative disciplines that involve education, growth, & development over a span of time - proficiency does manifest overnight! Grouping classes and lessons by 12-week sessions is intentional in order to allow for a good span of time for educational immersion, confidence instilled, and cumulative skill to truly develop within each student!

New for the 2023 fall session, select classes in the recreational program will be offered with the option to only do a half session, 6 weeks, for the chance to try out a class and see if it’s a good fit before continuing. There is a limited cap on half-session sign-up slots, once they are full there will only be full-session slots available. Students can continue with the second 6 week block if participation in recital is desired. Limited slots are available for the half session sign-up, first come first serve.

Full session sign-up will still be offered as well if it’s known at registration that students want to participate in the entire session and recital.

  • No experience necessary to attend all preschool, beginner, & intermediate recreational program classes!

All ballet fundamentals are explored in a positive, encouraging, and fun-filled studio setting. Previous ballet experience is required for the focused program intermediate and advanced levels with corresponding age range and years of training experience taken into consideration with level placement.

  • Yes! Every session offers an end of session performance, and all EBA enrolled students are invited to participate!

All details related to session performances are sent out to students/families throughout the session.

  • EBA fees are eligible for a partial refund within 2 weeks of a student’s registration date, according to the email receipt, and within 1 week of the start date of the session. Refunds will be issued through the EBA website within 30 business days.

EBA is not able to offer any registration refunds for class registration once the class session is already in progress past the first week.

Please reach out to Katie, EBA’s director, with any questions about tuition, registration, and refunds!
